Art Course
The difference of the art of painting from the other fine arts is that the main expressive means here are the color, the shape of objects and the shape of brushstroke. Accordingly, there are distinguished such styles of painting as realism, academism, Baroque, Rococo, Art Nouveau, impressionism, abstractionism, etc. In our courses we will turn mainly to realism to the extent that is available to students.
We will work with such genres as still life, landscape, cosmic landscape, portrait, genre scenes and animalistic genre.
In our course there will be used watercolors, gouache, and acrylic and oils for older students
The number of classes per week is two, each one of about two hours depending on the age of students.
Students from 4-5 years old are accepted. The upper age limit is not defined
The program advances from simple tasks to complex ones. Each class includes:
1.The explanation of material;
2.The demonstration of key points and techniques;
3.Practical exercises.
In the process of work the teacher approaches each student, directs him and points out the mistakes.
The program is designed for three months. It is possible to take an accelerated one month course.
